Talk about your creative process.

I tend to be fairly disorganized creator that creates whenever I am in the mood or have an idea. With the exception of my spiritual stuff, I create purely for the joy of it and I happily ignore any advice given to writers who want to grow pro. IE I will never be the type of writer who writes daily. Last time I tried I lasted like two days before losing all interest in writing for several years. For my tools I use Notepad for my writing and HTML coding, Code Pen for CSS and Java, and I use a free image editor for my editing (looking for a free one that doesn't use AI though... recs welcome). I would use something fancier for my writing but it's either gonna end up on my site or no one but me will ever see it so it works.

With meta I generally like to give myself a day or so after reading/watching the canon (either in its entirety or after an installment) before writing any to give time for things to gel. I usually make it a point to avoid reading other peoples stuff until after I'm finished but when I was on tumblr I did check to see if anyone else had written the same thing before sharing it though. If it's a rewatch or reread I'll take notes to help but not usually on a first watch or read.

Worldbuilding/Character creation is my primary creative hobby and I do have a Pinterest board as inspiration but I don't use it much while I'm actually writing out the information (it's mostly to give me something to daydream at). The vast majority of fiction writing I do (which isn't a lot) revolves around these characters and happens whenever I get an idea I like. As such it's very choppy and all over the place (not helped by me making some massive changes a few months ago).

With coding/webweaving I generally just get bored with my site and want to change it (sometimes after seeing someone else's cool site).. Either that or I've got an idea for a shrine. I like to watch Lets Plays during the boring bits, but otherwise I like silence. I usually look for images and color palates before I start coding but I've been known to change my mind in the middle. Also, while I do try to make my stuff mobile friendly, I do make the layout for PC first. Finally I am a far more organized coder than writer... mostly because with coding, you will regret it if you aren't.

Icons and other image stuff usually happens whenever I need a new icon or other image for my site (although sometimes I do get inspired by other stuff I see). I tend to listen to music whenever I'm doing this.

I've been was busy and dealing with brain crud so a bit late. So lets knock these all out at once

Neocites I don't know if it's my last site persay but it and dreamwith are the sites I've been spending the most time on so *shrugs*.

Currently between fandoms so no real wishlist... Actually that works: I need something new to get fannish over so feel free to rec me your current, and/or all time, obsession. Also do tell me what you ship (I ship adult/minor and incest ships so this glass house will NOT be throwing stones).

Only thing I don't want is anything cop centered. Used to love cop shows but anymore I get quite the bitter taste in my mouth what with all the real life BS cops pull, sadly.

Challenge #2: Pets of Fandom

Loosely defined! Post about your pets, pets from your canon, anything you want!

Most of my fandoms have talking animals; which doesn't fit the pet label IMHO but, as I'm currently replaying Code Realize: Guardians of Rebirth, I remembered Sisi. Truly the best and handsomest pup!

He's a rescue that bonds very closely with Cardia (the main character) and Delly (a fairly important character for some of the routes) but is not too fond of any of Cardia's love interests. Understandably so, the guys are nothing but trouble after all. XD

I love this design. It's very girly in a way that celebrates Sailor Moon. It also kinda looks like a transformation sequence without being an exact replica of any of them (I thought about it but since the manga doesn't have them I decided not to). I also posted Volume 4 to my Sailor Moon Manga reviews and a page for my Crystal Tokyo head-canon...

And yes I know I don't have a section where I talk about Chibi-Usa (although she is mentioned). I didn't think of it until I was posting the thing (whoops). I'll have to add a section sometime (mostly covering the time where she comes back from the final battle in the manga... everything up till then is fairly well covered by the manga).

Honestly this will most likely be my last big change until after the holidays. I'm gonna be busy until then.

I have been busy... more coding than writing. Which I really need to do if I actually want shrines buuut well at least something's getting done.

Wincest

Honestly my issue here is less writing the thing and more wanting to actually watch the show. It's been a hot minute since I've watched the show (not counting the episodes I've already watched on this rewatch). I think my problem is that while I've liked S1 and S2 for the most part I didn't love them and I know the show is gonna get darker and less enjoyable for me as I keep going (this is one of those fandoms where I'm really only in it for my ship... rare for me but there it is). Also while I love to reread shit I'm not the biggest fan of rewatching shit...

As this is a silly little shipping manifesto type shrine I could just write the damn thing (using wiki, tv tropes, and other peoples meta to remind me of the shit I'm not 100% sure of). I think I'll table this one until the others are done then decide.

Wild Adapter

I might regret this considering we're getting an ending and I may not like it (best possibility... both boys are alive... very distant second best both are dead... there is no third best sorry not sorry) buuut fuck it. Even if I don't like it I can always change it to a Vol 6 deep dive (maybe the OVA?) cause I love that volume enough I'll be amazed if any ending will change it. (and I'm really tempted to do a Vol 6 shrine anyway)

I will need to do a skim for notes to write the thing but the layout is so cool looking (it was a bitch to code though and I still need to make it phone friendly)

Edited to add... Also Toki better remember his Kubo-chan at the end cause y'all the salt levels will be through the roof if he doesn't.

Dear Brother

Like the first two this layout is done (except for adding images) but I need to write the thing... after a quick skim. It's probably not gonna be long but it's such a good taboo love story and (as far as I know) has no fandom to speak of. And again them rent lowering gunshots need to be fired before I get too many followers and Lady knows it'll be faster than the Wincest one. LAMO

Eternity Main

While that shrine is up I'm actually feeling the urge to add to my manga reviews (it's been entirely too long). I'm also wanting to change the layout to something a bit fancier and more girly (and maybe a bit more image heavy) all while making it less fussy so while I will hopefully have the fourth Volume reviews done soonish I may wait till I've the new layout to post them. Then again Volume 4 doesn't add a page so who knows. I also have some Crystal Tokyo head-canons to post but as those will need a new page they will most certainly wait till I get the layout done.

We are getting a fucking ending!!! Woot! I'm currently toying with tabling my shrine until its over. Who knows how long that will be though... I think I'll put it further down the list and see what happens...

I was toying with doing the shrine now and ofc I can always update when the manga is finished but I kinda want to stick with stuff thats notbeing updated ya know.

I figured I'd talk a bit about making this site. Honestly the basic layout is the same as my links page. A table with links then notes but I did do some fun things. I wanted it to look kitschy and old-fashioned but still very user friendly on both my phone and laptop. I think I did alright... although I may fiddle with it so it looks a bit better on portrait mode for the phone.

The background and header image came from pixabay. Hint for new users after entering in your search term you can filter out AI using the content type filter near the top of the screen on your computer. Not sure where it is on the phone off the top of my head though.

The colors were picked from the background image using an image editor (I currently use pixlr but I'm looking for something similar and free that doesn't use AI). Except for the color behind the tables... that one I just found the hex code for an off white color that looked good with everything else. Fonts are from google fonts and I can not recommend them enough.

Did some minor gradients using CSS Gradient but otherwise kept it simple. Oh right the dot surrounding the nav bar is just a dotted border using CSS. Feel free to poke around my code if your interested in seeing more and feel free to ask me any questions.

This is a list of stuff I currently want to do. It's a lot and if you have something you really want to see let me know.
