To Fan shrines:
You were my first experience with fandom and to this day you remain my favorite. So much of what I love about fandom can be found in you.
For many years I had lost touch with you but you have returned. You, who stoked my love for both fandom in general and the fandoms I hold dearest, have renewed my love for this community (although it will never again be the simple love I had as a teen) and I will always be grateful. You've given me a new and sometimes frustrating hobby (coding) and a space where I can just be my fannish self without apology and shame.
So thank you fanshrines and may we never be parted again.
